How can you become of person of value?

You found the company that is a right fit for you. It's usually time to start to put together your marketing tools. But before we do that I'm going to suggest you figure out how to provide value. Also, what is your marketing style.

Should you be worried about how your upline promotes their business?

Only a little. It is more important that you build a relationship with your upline and downline as a person of value.

Remember this is your business!! You are the person responsible for it's success. Not your upline. It is more important how you will support your downline and promote your business than anything else.

Build a solid foundation by attracting prospects to you. Provide valuable information and/or services and your business will thrive. Don't look to others to do the work for you. Look at everyone put under you from others as a gift.

Don't play the whine or blame game.

You know what I'm talking about:

  • Nobody is helping me
  • I could succeed if...
  • I only need....
  • I don't know......
  • I can't......
  • I won't......
  • They didn't.......
  • And the real killer BUT.......

These will steal your dream and prevent you from becoming a person of value. They stop you from taking action with nothing but an excuse. If you don't know something figure out a way to learn it. There is always a next action step you can take to get you further down the road to success. Only you can take that step.

What is your marketing style?

What is your comfortable method of communication? Do you prefer face-to-face, phone conversations or email?

You'll also need to consider what hours are you available to communicate with potential prospects.

This is important so your website reflects your preferred method of communication and time available.

My preferred method is email. Every area of my websites where visitors might need to communicate with me they are provided with my email link.

Since time prohibits a lot of face-to-face communication and phone conversations I provide my picture and little background so visitors can still feel like they know me. As time permits I'll also add video.

What knowledge or skill can you share?

Becoming a person of value starts with thinking of ways to be of service. What knowledge or skill do you have that you feel passionate about that you can share? When doing this it should not feel like work. Take the time needed to figure this out. For example: I feel great when I know I helped someone figure out the answer to a question. Also, when I provide information in an unique way.

Remember providing value before worrying about sales will build trust and long-term relationships. A win-win for both you and your future partners.
